Sandra K. Farmer
- Elsie Menicucci-Cunha
Services for Elsie Louise Menicucci-Cunh will be held Feb. 7 with the Rosary at 9 a.m. at Ben Salas Mortuary and Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher’s church. Refreshments will be served at the Grange hall after the services.
Elsie, a native of Galt, died Jan. 26, 2008 in Yelm, Wash., at the age of 88.
Her husbands, Domenico Menicucci and Joseph Cunja, preceded her in death.
Born Elsie Futado, she grew up, got married and lived her entire life in Galt until the last two years when she moved to Washington. As an adult in Galt, she was an active member of St. Christopher’s Altar Society and a catechism teacher for St. Christopher’s church. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels, was secretary and treasurer of the Valley Oaks Grange, and an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Galt Area Historical Society. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, cooking, gardening and doing for others. She had a smile and kind word for everyone.
Surviving are her daughter, Julie Ann Mack of Yelm, Wash.; son, Michael James Menicucci and step-daughter Marjorie Woods of Galt; three sisters, Evelyn Perez of Antioch, Dorothy Moore and Marlene Acord, both of Bakersfield; grandchildren Joanne Belland and David Korrell; and five great grandchildren.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, friends donate to the Galt Area Historical Society, P.O. Box 782, Galt, CA 95632.

Sandra K. Farmer
Sandra Kaye Farmer, 62, died Feb. 3, 2008. She was born on April 3, 1946 to Theodore and Phyllis Wilkerson in Galesburg, Ill., and raised in Galt, Calif.
She attended Galt schools and graduated from Galt High School. Her bubbly and fun-loving nature will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Surviving Sandra are her daughter, Georgia Riley and grandson, Robert Riley; mother, Phyllis Wilkerson; brothers, William (Mary) Wilkerson, Joe (Kathy) Wilkerson, Ted (Shirley) Wilkerson, Gerald (Vickie) Wilkerson, Ronald (Pam) Wilkerson, Carl (Susan) Wilkerson; sisters, Shirley (Darrel) Hawks and Vera (Matt) Susich.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Ted Wilkerson; brother, George Wilkerson; and sister, Nina Wilkerson.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up for her grandson, Robert Riley, at Stockmans Bank, 701 C Street, Galt, CA 95632.
There will be a memorial for Sandra at Joe’s shop, 26600 N. Cherokee Lane in Galt on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.
Lodi All Faiths Cremation is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kennith D. Waddle
Kennith David Waddle of Galt passed away on Feb. 1, 2008. He was born in Lodi on May 12, 1974, to David and Joycelene Waddle.
Kenny enjoyed cooking and drawing. He lived for his daughters, Hailey and Jessica; they were truly the light of his life. All who knew him will dearly miss Kenny.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce (James) Shetler of Galt; father, David Waddle of Galt; daughters, Hailey Amber and Jessica Dawn Waddle; siblings, Cheryl (Jason) Waddle-Knecht of Galt, Laura Shetler of Galt, and Audrey (Mark) Shetler-Maglione of Raleigh, N.C.; and grandmother, Eunice Clubb Cast of Galt.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, Feb. 7, at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi from noon until 8 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with committal to immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
A virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com where memories can be shared. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Ivan L. Perry
Ivan L. Perry, 81, of Lodi (formerly of Galt) died on Feb. 2, 2008 in a local hospital. He was born on June 14, 1926 in Hemet, Calif.
Ivan had resided in Lodi for approximately five years and had retired as a truck driver from Melhaff Trucking after 46 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had served from 1943 to 1948 during World War II.
His wife, Carol M. Perry, preceded him in death in 1999.
Surviving him are children, Martha and Christeen of Galt; Mike of Stockton, Marilyn of Galt; Kathy of South Dakota, Merrilyn of Arkansas, and Lester, Becky and Carol Ann.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. at Galt Cemetery. No viewing is planned.

Miguel Garcia
Miguel Garcia, 51, formerly of Galt, died in a Watsonville hospital of natural causes. He was born in Jalisco, Mexico on June 15, 1956. He enjoyed fishing and his family.
Surviving him are his mother, Marciana Garcia of Jalisco, Mexico; children, Miguel Angel of Lodi, Alejandra and Julio Garcia of Galt; brothers, Pedro, Gabriel, Angonia and Bernandine; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Ben Salas Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 3 to 6 p.m., with Rosary at 6 p.m.
Mass will be held at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Galt on Friday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m.
Ben Salas Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
