Robbie L. Grammer
Robbie Lynn Grammer (56) passed away Feb. 14, 2007 in Lodi after a short battle with cancer. She was born Robbie Lynn Williams on Nov. 6, 1950 in Montgomery, Ala.
Robbie moved to Elk Grove in 1962 and spent her life in the Elk Grove, Wilton, Lodi and Jackson areas. She married her high school sweetheart, Donald F. Brown, Sr., and raised two sons, Donald F. Brown, Jr., and Timothy C. Brown.
Robbie remarried in September 1991 to Dennis L. Grammer. They adopted and were raising their son, Jonathan Grammer.
Robbie was a high-spirited, fun loving, giving nana, mother, sister, aunt and friend. All who knew her will miss her laughter and love of life. Her passion for bingo and karaoke will carry on with her lifelong best friends, Donna McKean, Karen Green, Judy, Linda, and many others.
She was preceded in death by Donnie of Wilton, as well as her parents, Ester and Robert Williams, and brother Frankie, all of Elk Grove.
Surviving her are three sons; Don’s wife, Toni; grandchildren Ashlee, Mark, Dahlton, Kyler and Dahkota; sisters, Patsy Welch and Betty Gibson and their families; niece, Kim Crites and her children, Dustin Salaun and Missy Crites; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family members.
Graveside services were held Feb. 21 at Elk Grove Cemetery, followed by graveside services.
A celebration of her life was held at Florin Worship Center in Sacramento, featuring Robbie’s favorite Mexican cuisine, her favorite music, a slide show of great memories, and a few bingo games.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept living plants; or monetary donations to help with funeral expenses may be made to Florin Worship Center, c/o Pastor Gloiria.
Eldon R. Browning
Eldon Ross Browning (82) passed away Feb. 22, 2007. He was born on Sept. 4, 1924 in Maple Hill, Iowa.
After high school, Eldon was drafted into the U.S. Navy. He received a medical discharge and married Elvira Meyer in 1944. He and his family moved to Arizona in 1952, then to Sacramento in 1954 before finally settling in Galt in 1960 where he has been an active member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
Eldon worked as a journeyman plumber for the Sacramento City Unified School District until retiring in 1985. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was an inspiration and a rock of strength to his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping or any opportunity to be with those he loved. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Surviving him are his devoted wife of 62 years, Elvira; son, David and daughter, Susan of Sacramento; daughters, Sandy (Ed) Lindquist of Galt, Sharon (Dave) Brock of Alabama, and Donna Krueg of Galt; eight grandchildren, Jim and Brian Kelley of Galt, Kari and Courtney Krueg of Galt, Heather (Brock) Arias of Galt, Josh Andrade, David and Nick Brock of Alabama; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Carol Ann, preceded him in death.
A memorial service was held Feb. 27 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Galt.

Kimberly J. Kannenberg
Kimberly June Kannenberg (50), formerly of Galt, died on Feb. 7, 2007, in a local hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born July 5, 1956 in Peoria, Ill., and moved to California with her family as a young child.
Kim moved to Galt in 1973 and graduated from Galt High School in 1974. She recently returned to the Galt area after living in Boise, Idaho for 12 years where she owned and operated a pet care and housecleaning business.
Kim had a lifelong dedication to animal welfare. She lovingly cared for her four cats, two dogs and two birds until her death. She was a frequent volunteer at various animal shelters and organizations in Boise. She was able to create an atmosphere in which birds, cats and dogs, and people all lived in peaceful harmony with each other. In return, the animals were devoted to her.
Kim was a kind and loving person with an engaging smile, who will be sorely missed by all.
Surviving Kim are her brother, Guy Kannenberg (Diane), nephew, Troy Kannenberg and niece, Dee Dee Luffman (Billy); and many friends.
Her mother, June Kannenberg, preceded her in death.
The Trident Society handled final arrangements, and services were private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kimberly’s name to an animal welfare organization, such as the Delta Humane Society in Stockton.
Doris E. Frost
Doris Estell Frost (75), formerly of Acampo, died of natural causes in Stockton on Feb. 17, 2007. She was born April 27, 1931 to Lowel and Audie plumlee in Portales, N.M.
Mrs. Frost lived in Fremont for 18 years and moved to Acampo in 2000. She has lived in Stockton for two years. She retired as a supervisor for the California State Employment Development Department. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing and crafting.
Surviving her are children, Lyle Green of Galt and Bart Green of Rancho Cordova; brother, Ray Plumlee of Lodi; sisters, Lola Stanton of Houston, Texas and Kay Stewart of Roswell, N.M.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Galt Cemetery with Father Copsey officiating.
Rolland L. Schroeder
Rolland Lee Schroeder (69) passed away on Feb. 23, 2007 at his home in Wilton after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. He was born on Dec. 20, 1937 in Mynard, Neb.
Mr. Schroeder was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 35 years before retiring in 1998. Some of Rolland’s joys during his life were taking care of the Liberty Cemetery in Galt, crafting wooden trains and toys for his grandchildren, and sending toys, clothes and school supplies to the Christian Appalachian Project. He also enjoyed caring for the grounds of his own home in Wilton.
Surviving him are his wife, Margaret; six children, Mary Jo, Warren (Anngela), Robert (Malinda), Aaron, Peter and Rebecca; five grandchildren, Dominic, Brayden, Tessa, Timmy and Megan.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Frederick and Mae; brother, Melvin; and sister, Lulabelle.
A family graveside interment will be held on Friday, March 2 at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland. Memorials may be made at www.cap.org.
