Sacramento County offers Vote-by-Mail
Drop-off site in Galt for the Nov. 4 general election

- Voters who do not want to drop their 2008 General Election ballots in the mail may choose to drop it off at Galt City Hall.
Sacramento County’s downtown administration center and designated city clerk offices will serve as Vote-by-Mail ballot drop-off sites from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Friday, Oct. 31.
“We understand that it may be more convenient for some voters to drop off their ballot rather than sending it through the mail,” says Registrar of Voters Jill LaVine. “We have partnered with our Clerk of the Board and local city clerks to provide additional drop-off locations within the community that may be closer to home or work for voters.”
Ballot boxes will be stationed at the county administration building (Clerk of the Board office on the second floor) and at the front counters of city clerk offices. In Galt, the ballot box will be located at Galt City Hall, City Clerk’s Office, 380 Civic Drive.
Voters may also deposit their ballots 24 hours a day, and until 8 p.m. on Election Day, at the Elections Office located at 7000 65th Street.
The Elections Office will also be open on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for voting or to drop off Vote-by-Mail ballots.
